Financial Planning Associate- Lemieux Wealth Strategies, LLC

Lemieux Wealth Strategies, (www.lemieuxwealth.com) founded in 2010, is a family-run financial advisory firm located in Brainerd, MN. We provide financial planning and asset management services to individuals, small businesses, retirement plans, and nonprofits. The Planning Team Associate is an extension of the financial advisor as it relates to financial planning. This is an entry level role and requires the active pursuit of appropriate FINRA/SEC registrations and a state insurance license. This is a full-time position that is expected to meet or exceed 40 hours per week

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial plans for review by financial advisor
  • Prepare for client discovery, recommendations, and review meetings
  • Communicate relevant portfolio performance data to financial advisor prior to client meeting when necessary
  • Request new account opening and provide suitability information to LWS’s Operations Team
  • Participate in client meetings with financial advisors as needed
  • Enter detailed and thorough meeting notes in a timely manner in CRM (currently using Redtail) client contact record and identify & distribute “next steps” instructions to team members
  • Assist with facilitation of financial planning recommendations
  • Assess client income needs while incorporating taxation, annuity benefits, and other considerations and report findings to financial advisor
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • SIE preferred or willingness to obtain quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eagerness and ability to obtain Series 7, Series 66, and state insurance license
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology used within the business
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and willingness to change course when necessary
  • Ability to manage competing demands
  • Strict adherence to policies and procedures, yet able to recognize the need to consider alternate courses of action in certain situations
  • Solid internet research capabilities and strong personal computer skills with a proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Pershing and NetX360 (Preferred)
  • Experience with Redtail (Preferred)
